The FreeCAD Project Association is beginning to accept applications for the second grant review wave in 2026. If you are interested in improving FreeCAD and its ecosystem, please read more about the program and apply.
In 2026, we introduced several changes to the grant program, including these:
- Smaller budget (10K EUR per quarter) to spend more money on bugfixing and permanent positions.
- Only one grant application per developer per quarter is possible now.
- Focus on documentation, testing, and improving the release cycle.
