Coverage

In the context of the Addon Ecosystem, the term Coverage refers to the amount of desired Qualities an addon processes.

Threshold

There are two thresholds that are used as requirements, one
is a low threshold which is a needed for any Indexed addon a high threshold thats required for any Curated addon.

The high threshold represents the level of quality the FreeCAD project wants to be known for and is a kind of ‘Seal of approval’.

Stability

As with anything, the list of desired Qualities can change and new items may be added or threshold may change.

When this happens, addons will be afforded a period in which their Affiliation / Coverage status won’t change if the change in status is related to the updated quality.

This will only be in effect after the addon has been reviewed.

Discretion

Many of the desired quantities are either not quantifiable or aren’t sensible to quantity like:

The addon must address user
concerns [..] in a timely manner.

In cases like these it’s up to the discretion of the reviewer(s) to
decide based on the circumstances like the current efforts of the maintainer(s) or the history of the addon / maintainership.
